Job summary

Deckers Brands in Goleta, CA, hybrid, seeks a Sr. Manager, Costing for UGG Apparel & Accessories to lead the US costing process, drive margin improvements and partner with design, sourcing and Asia teams.

You will coach managers and develop direct reports while optimizing costing cycles and systems. The role requires 7+ years in apparel costing, strong leadership, and expertise in cost drivers with advanced Excel/Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of strategic apparel/accessories costing experience.
• Expert knowledge of cost management and product cost drivers.
• Proven ability to drive initiatives and lead change.
• Demonstrated leadership experience supporting large-scale brands.
• 3+ years management experience, including hiring, training, and onboarding team members.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems, FlexPLM or similar platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and deep product costing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage the costing process in the US, leading reviews with product teams at key seasonal milestones.
• Leverage costing expertise to proactively identify solutions for margin-challenged styles.
• Collaborate with Product & Design teams to ensure seasonal targets are achieved.
• Drive cross-functional alignment by partnering with Sourcing, Planning, and Asia Costing to align shared strategies.
• Lead efforts to mitigate inflation across logistics, materials, and production costs.
• Anticipate risks, identify issues, and present actionable solutions to business partners.
• Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports, setting clear goals and driving results.
• Train and manage Costing Managers and junior team members, supporting their growth and development.
• Streamline the product costing cycle through process improvements and develop analytical tools to standardize processes.
• Enhance systems and processes to improve costing performance and meet business needs.
