Job summary

Goleta-based Deckers Brands seeks a Costing Manager for UGG Footwear to lead the product costing process from concept to samples, collaborate with factories, and drive seasonal margin targets. You will mentor analysts and influence cross-functional teams on cost drivers and profitability.

The role emphasizes financial analysis, scenario planning, and cost awareness, with a hybrid Goleta office schedule and a focus on improving brand profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis on Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of product costing experience in footwear.
• Strong Excel & Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with FlexPLM or similar system.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure brand profitability and margin expectations are met.
• Manage product costing process and business margin planning from brief stage to final salesman samples.
• Negotiate with partner factories and suppliers to meet seasonal brand target margin using manufacturing and product knowledge.
• Perform financial analysis and scenario planning for cross-functional teams to drive decisions and increase profitability.
• Partner with Development team to build and manage seasonal tooling budget.
• Build seasonal pre-costing for Development and Product teams to ensure new product development is commercial.
• Create costing reports, providing visibility to Product and Development leadership on cost estimates, margin, sourcing, and trade agreements.
• Build costing awareness across teams by training partners on cost drivers, margin impact, costing tools, and seasonal decision points.
• Manage, mentor, coach, and develop Costing Analysts or related team members.
