Job summary

LHH seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization in a hybrid Dallas environment. You will own cost accounting, inventory oversight, and COGS analysis, partnering with Operations to drive financial accuracy and performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cost accounting or manufacturing finance, strong ERP/Epicor experience, and a proven ability to improve costing processes and internal controls. MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing job costing and COGS accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Proven ability with reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, WIP, and finished goods accounting.
• Reconcile inventory balances and validate COGS across materials, labor, and overhead.
• Prepare journal entries related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Develop cost reporting, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Oversee full job costing lifecycle from production to reporting.
• Analyze variances in material, labor, and overhead.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve cost performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analyses.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
• Utilize Epicor for cost analysis and data gathering.
• Lead cost accounting process improvements.
• Mentor junior staff.
