Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer for the Aguadilla, PR area. The role involves writing and processing engineering changes, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting CM activities across CE and ME programs.

The position requires a STEM or business degree and 2 years CM/engineering experience, with U.S. citizenship. Role is hybrid, with opportunities to work onsite and offsite, and involves collaboration with Design Integration teams and IPTs/CIPTs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or business administration.
• 2 years of experience in configuration management or engineering.
• U.S. Citizenship is required to access information.
• Experience with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Write and process engineering changes, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
• Analyze the Nature, Reason, and Substantiation of minor engineering changes, providing guidance to requestors and ensuring alignment with configuration management standards.
• Perform reviews of minor engineering changes to verify compliance with standard procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to established naming conventions and nomenclature standards for parts, documents, and configuration baselines to maintain consistency and traceability.
• Collaborate with Design Integration teams, IPTs, and CIPTs to support Configuration Control Board activities and the engineering change process.
• Support the development, maintenance, and enforcement of nomenclature guidelines with training for requestors and stakeholders.
• Participate in CORE framework-driven department initiatives for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Utilize configuration management tools to maintain records, reports, and baselines with traceability.
• Contribute to audits, reviews, and compliance checks for industry standards and company policies.
• Play a key role in integrating components, modules, and subsystems into propulsion systems for CE and ME programs.
