Job summary

AECOM seeks a Client Account Manager/Senior Project Manager focused on Environmental Compliance to grow and manage key client relationships. The role emphasizes selling environmental compliance services, expanding the client base, and delivering innovative solutions with cross-functional teams.

The position is hybrid, with locations in Houston, Austin, Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Fort Collins, Minneapolis or Orange, or remote within the Western US. Travel 25–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or related field.
• 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in managing client accounts, sales and driving business development within environmental compliance services.
• Travel of 25-50% will be required, as this is a client facing role.
• Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification are required.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to expand AECOM’s environmental compliance services.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities in public and private sectors.
• Leverage an existing book of clients to generate sales and secure high-value environmental projects.
• Work closely with internal teams to develop and present proposals, technical solutions, and service offerings.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements to align with client needs and financial objectives.
• Provide industry insight and stay updated on environmental regulations, compliance standards and trends.
• Support cross-business collaboration to provide integrated environmental solutions across sectors.
• Meet or exceed sales targets while contributing to the long-term strategic vision of AECOM.
