The ideal candidate excels at QuickBooks, reconciliations, and handling multiple client accounts with accuracy. Prior CPA or public accounting experience is preferred, and payroll/ADP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Solid account reconciliation experience.
• Good understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Ability to independently manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in CPA firm or public accounting environment preferred.
• Payroll and ADP experience is a plus.
• College degree not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping activities for approximately 15–20 client accounts.
• Review and maintain client QuickBooks files.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review account activity and identify discrepancies or necessary adjustments.
• Assist with month-end bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
• Perform limited payroll-related work and prepare payroll reports.
• Coordinate with third-party payroll providers such as ADP when needed.
• Communicate directly with select clients regarding bookkeeping questions and required information.
• Maintain organized and accurate client accounting records.
• Work closely with CPAs and other members of the firm's professional team.
• Assist with additional bookkeeping and accounting projects as needed.
