Kept is seeking an accurate, detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team in Houston. You will use QuickBooks Online to perform accrual-based accounting, manage monthly close, and prepare client financial statements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certification.
• Proficiency working in QuickBooks Online.
• Proficient with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and month end close.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting functions within QuickBooks Online and other platforms.
• Lead the month end close and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Maintain Balance Sheet schedules (Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Fixed Asset Schedule, Payroll liability reconciliations).
• Prepare and record month end journal entries and complete full cycle A/R and A/P.
• Prepare and review payroll and sales tax; communicate with clients and teams.
