Job summary

PenFed Credit Union is seeking a Hybrid Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Operations to collect, analyze, and translate Operations data into actionable KPIs, dashboards, and reports. The role spans multiple sites, including Eugene, OR, San Antonio, Omaha, Tysons, and more, supporting modernization of analytical reporting and decision making.

You will write efficient queries, develop prototypes, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with BI teams and data scientists to deepen data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, data science, CS, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge in programming/querying language (SQL).
• 5+ years of experience in a data warehouse/cloud environment.
• 5+ years of Financial Services experience (Banking/Credit Union preferred).
• Demonstrated data governance and analytics expertise.
• Advanced proficiency in BI platforms and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
• Experience collecting business requirements and translating into reporting.
• Experience with data integration and ETL tools.
• Experience using Python or other analytics languages.
• Experience using AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather complex business requirements and translate into data and reporting needs.
• Apply data visualizations to interpret findings and develop recommendations.
• Create written reports, presentations, and visuals that summarize findings and support recommendations.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify analysis areas and strategic direction.
• Develop and maintain reporting for contact center, financial center, service & support, or enterprise metrics.
• Assist in daily/weekly/monthly/annual performance reporting and scorecard creation.
• Monitor and report trends and their impact on objectives.
• Design, develop and maintain reports, ad hoc queries and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with BI and data scientists to pursue shared goals.
• Enhance data accessibility and educate colleagues on analytics tools.
• Understand cross-functional needs and recommend reports and analyses.
• Mentor/train junior analysts.
