Job summary

Orange County's Federal Credit Union seeks a Senior Automation Developer in Santa Ana, CA. The role focuses on designing and building modern automations across platforms, connecting on-prem and cloud systems, and embedding AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automation/integration development (RPA, low-code, iPaaS).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with at least two tool categories: RPA, low-code/workflow automation, iPaaS.
• Cloud-native integrations using Lambda/Functions, REST APIs, webhooks, JSON.
• Relational databases and SQL experience.
• Git/CI/CD experience for automation assets.
• Experience integrating AI services (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
• Financial services or regulated environments preferred.
• Observability/monitoring tools experience preferred.
• CoE for automation or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end automation lifecycle from discovery to support.
• Develop and deploy cross-platform automations (Power Automate, UiPath, etc.).
• Build cloud-based automations with Lambda/Functions and event buses.
• Create integrations via REST APIs, webhooks, and queues.
• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring for production reliability.
• Explore and embed AI-powered automations and agents.
• Define guardrails for safe AI use in workflows.
• Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance and with operations.
