Job summary

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is seeking a Principal Application Support Engineer to ensure the reliability, resiliency, and operational excellence of its institutional trade processing platforms. You will work across AWS, OpenShift, Kafka, IBM MQ, and other distributed systems on a globally distributed team.

Responsibilities include leading major incidents, driving automation, mentoring engineers, and partnering with Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Product,

Qualifications

• SRE principles, reliability, observability, automation, and incident prevention.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale, distributed applications in production.
• Cloud technologies and modern infrastructure platforms.
• Understanding of messaging systems and middleware (IBM MQ, Kafka).
• Exposure to container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of critical production incidents and complex platform issues.
• Drive disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency testing.
• Establish monitoring, service-level compliance, and operational standards.
• Champion automation, observability, and self-healing to improve reliability.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Vendor teams.
