Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a senior data scientist to develop predictive and prescriptive models for the supply chain, analyzing large datasets to drive scalable insights. You will work with engineers and product managers to evolve insights into deployable analytics products.

The role requires strong statistics background, ML experience, and collaboration across IT and business teams. Hybrid schedule includes in-person days at Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; and Scarborough, ME.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in supply chain analytics, agile software development, optimization or modelling.
• 5+ advanced statistical analyses with ML.
• Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Scala, Python.
• Predictive modelling, clustering, optimization.
• Azure stack, Hadoop, Spark, Databricks experience.
• Designing data-driven architectures for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical models to predict supply chain needs and automate decisions.
• Highlight trends and external variables to guide operations.
• Collaborate with IT to structure data for a 360 view of the supply chain.
• Scale and deploy supply chain products like control tower and stock-detection models.
• Mentor COOPs and train analysts on best-in-class tools and models.
• Design tests for pilot results using A/B testing and statistics.
