Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH seeks a Senior Engineer in Aircraft Electrical Power Systems to design power generation and distribution solutions for defense customers. You will develop system schematics, generate requirement documents, and support certification activities.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design, familiarity with DO-160/DO-178/DO-254, and strong communication skills. Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams is essential to deliver compliant, high-quality aircraft

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical system design.
• Working knowledge of FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
• Familiar with RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 standards.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical power generation and distribution solutions that meet Bombardier Defense requirements.
• Identify deliverables, risks, and challenges in bid and proposal phases.
• Create system schematics, interface control and wiring documents, and load analyses.
• Review installation drawings and test data; decompose statements of work into detailed requirements.
• Analyze ground and flight test data to verify performance and functionality.
• Support design reviews, change management, and supplier investigations.
• Show compliance to FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal customers to resolve build or test issues.
