Job summary

Bombardier seeks a Section Chief - BAS Electrical Engineering in Tucson, AZ. You will lead engineers and designers, assign scope, and ensure deliverables for aircraft avionics and electrical systems. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and travel readiness.

You’ll coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to certify installations, mentor staff, and maintain a positive, high-performance work environment while meeting budget and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with ten (10) years of relevant experience, or fifteen (15) years in avionics/electrical system installations, testing or integration.
• Regulatory certification knowledge (FAA, EASA, TCCA) is required.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and performance-driven mindset with ability to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers/Designers supporting modifications across Bombardier’s aircraft platforms.
• Assign daily work scope and ensure deliverables (wire diagrams, test plans/reports, requirements docs, load analysis, separation analysis) are met.
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams and regulatory agencies for certification and integration of avionics and entertainment systems.
• Facilitate onboarding of new engineers and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Foster a positive environment and drive career development plans for the group.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget, high-quality outcomes aligned with business objectives.
• Resolve priority conflicts within the department and with internal customers.
