Bunzl is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting in a hybrid role based in Morton Grove, IL or St. Louis, MO. You will lead multi-location accounting operations, closing processes, and internal controls, while partnering with executives to drive disciplined execution and strategic insight.

You bring 12+ years in senior accounting leadership, strong U.S. GAAP expertise, and a track record of developing teams, improving processes, and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end close, audits, and internal controls.
• Ability to lead multi-location teams and drive change.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting systems; Power BI.

Aufgaben

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, half-year, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting transactions.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures.
• Direct the preparation of internal and external financial statements and supporting reports.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls by identifying gaps and standardizing processes.
