Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing Atlantic Region finance team in a hybrid role based in Cheektowaga, NY. The role focuses on general ledger, month-end close, fixed assets, and financial reporting within a multi-entity environment.

You will collaborate with experienced finance professionals, drive accuracy in reporting, and contribute to process improvements across multiple entities while balancing hands-on accounting with broader financial initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with fixed assets, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Exposure to multi-entity accounting and consolidated reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and an ERP platform; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and P&L analysis.
• Support intercompany accounting and consolidated reporting across multiple entities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, capitalization, and depreciation.
• Assist with integrating newly acquired businesses into accounting and reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve timeliness of reporting.
• Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel to support accounting and reporting.
• Support process automation and improvements to internal controls.
