Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Senior Accountant to partner with NBC News and the broader accounting team in New York. You will coordinate monthly close deliverables, prepare journal entries, and ensure controls and policies are followed.

The role requires a Bachelor in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years in accounting, and strong technical skills; CPA or public accounting experience is preferred. Hybrid schedule with four days in NYC office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance with progression.
• Experience in media/entertainment industry preferred.
• CPA & Public Accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and/or prepare monthly/quarterly close deliverables.
• Maintain and complete assigned Blackline account reconciliations with backup.
• Prepare monthly journal entries with proper backup.
• Assist controllership and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Research ways to streamline and standardize processes within area.
• Assist with adhoc requests and deliverables.
