Job summary

Spring Education Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting team, owning key month-end close activities, complex reconciliations, and financial analysis. The role mentors Staff Accountants and supports leadership across the organization.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office and two days remote. The candidate should bring strong GAAP knowledge, a solid general ledger background, and advanced Excel skills to drive accuracy and process improvements within a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of five years of general ledger or public accounting experience.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of GAAP.
• Working knowledge of general ledger and feeder systems, with the ability to use reporting tools to compile, analyze, and interpret data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and filters.

Responsibilities

• Lead key components of the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal control guidelines.
• Prepare and review journal entries within NetSuite, including entries prepared by Staff Accountants.
• Prepare and review complex account reconciliations, including cash, fixed assets, revenue, payroll, and lease areas, using independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Support daily cash application and reconciliation processes, including ownership of the cash management system and related workflows.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with budget preparation in assigned areas.
