Job summary

Innovative Emergency Management, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting and reporting. Expect ownership of significant portions of the close, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly management reporting while partnering with IT and stakeholders to improve processes.

The role requires 2–5 years of U.S. GAAP accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years accounting experience with U.S. GAAP and month-end close.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and adjustments.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Produce income statement and balance sheet analytics with variance explanations.
• Develop internal financial statements and monthly management reports.
• Collaborate with IT to improve reporting tools and data integrity.
• Support external audits with schedules and explanations.
• Prepare bank reporting for asset-based lending instruments.
• Lead complex account reconciliations and review work of junior staff.
• Stay compliant with FASB updates.
