Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Patent Agent with semiconductor experience for its Dallas, TX office to draft patent applications and respond to USPTO actions. You will support attorneys, discuss inventions with clients, and liaise with the Patent & Trademark Office to advance complex IP matters.

The role requires a technical degree and patent prosecution experience, with a hybrid work model and potential travel.

Responsibilities

• Draft patent applications and responses to USPTO.
• Discuss scientific aspects of inventions with clients and inventors.
• Act as liaison between inventors and patent office.
• Evaluate and report on technological aspects of inventions.
• Advise attorneys on technologies and investigate as needed.
• Organize, analyze, and summarize documents.
• Communicate with staff, clients, vendors, and agency personnel.
• Identify and solve complex patent issues.
• Provide guidance to legal support staff.

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
