Job summary

Reuters in Eagan, Minnesota is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join its global Security Operations Center. You will monitor security events across an enterprise environment and triage alerts from SIEM and other tools, communicating findings to internal teams about potential intrusions.

You will collaborate with ISRM to improve detection coverage, prepare briefings, maintain SOC playbooks, and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts while contributing to the overall security posture.

Qualifications

• Background in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in a SOC or incident response environment.
• Familiarity with security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, antivirus, firewalls, forensics, and cloud security solutions.
• Working knowledge of networking, operating systems, servers, and endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and incidents across a global enterprise environment.
• Respond to, analyze, and triage alerts from SIEM and other security technologies.
• Communicate findings to internal teams regarding potential intrusions or compromises.
• Collaborate with ISRM teams to improve detection coverage and alert quality.
• Produce clear briefings and written reports documenting methodology and results.
• Create and maintain SOC documentation and SOPs.
• Produce end-of-shift handoff reports to ensure continuity between analysts.
