Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking an Associate Security Engineer in Arlington, VA. You will help implement and maintain cybersecurity controls across endpoints, identities, cloud platforms, and applications while learning hands-on in vulnerability management, endpoint security, threat detection, and security automation.

The role emphasizes growth and collaboration within a team, with a hybrid schedule (Monday–Thursday in office, Friday optional work-from-home) in a dynamic real estate information

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/CS/IT/Software Engineering or related field
• Expected graduation December 2026 – June 2027
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated cybersecurity interest outside degree program
• At least 2 months of relevant internship or co-op experience
• Exposure to scripting languages (PowerShell/Bash/Python)
• Ability to document findings and communicate clearly
• Ability to follow processes and collaborate with technical teams

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across endpoints, identities, cloud platforms, applications, and business processes
• Learn and reinforce security concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
• Assist in deploying, supporting, and improving security technologies under guidance
• Contribute to security efforts and help strengthen practices across the CoStar Enterprise
