PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and maintain security controls across our infrastructure, cloud environments, and endpoints. You will partner with IT, Networking, and business teams to strengthen our security posture and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years in cybersecurity, with experience in Microsoft security technologies and CIS/HITRUST familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, systems engineering, network engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise security technologies and controls.
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies.
• Knowledge of security principles related to networking, operating systems, endpoint protection, cloud security, and identity management.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices, including CIS Controls and HITRUST.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security technologies and controls across on-premises, cloud, network, endpoint, and application environments.
• Evaluate and recommend security solutions to address evolving threats and business requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to integrate security requirements into technology initiatives and projects.
• Support secure system and application design reviews to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Monitor cloud security posture and recommend improvements to reduce risk and improve resilience.
