Job summary

NERA invites applications for a Researcher in the Securities and Finance practice in its New York City office. The role focuses on designing quantitative models, econometric analysis, and exposition of findings for high-profile clients in law, finance, and regulation.

We seek candidates with strong academic records in economics or quantitative fields, who can communicate clearly, work well on teams, and contribute to reports, exhibits, and presentations. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Economics, Math, Philosophy, Physics or Computer Science or related field.
• Demonstrated analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented and team-oriented.
• Finance, economics, accounting, econometrics or programming coursework/experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and build quantitative models and apply econometric analysis to data.
• Perform valuation analyses.
• Review, summarize and analyze industry trends.
• Create trial exhibits and presentation materials.
• Write code for complex data analysis.
• Participate in client meetings and discussions.
• Draft memos and expert reports.
