Job summary

NERA is hiring Researchers in economics and related fields to deliver quantitative analyses, expert reports, and client-ready materials from its San Francisco office. The role emphasizes rigorous reasoning, data-driven insights, and collaboration across teams.

Candidates should have completed a BA/BS or Masters by Summer 2027 with strong analytical skills, programming experience, and a willingness to handle diverse data and presentations for leading law firms, corporations, and regulators.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in any major or a Masters Degree, graduating by Summer 2027.
• Demonstrate exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills and be detail-oriented with strong communication.
• Strong coursework and/or experience in finance, economics, accounting, econometrics, and programming is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and build quantitative models and apply econometric analysis to economic/financial data.
• Perform valuation analyses and reviews of industry trends.
• Create trial exhibits and presentation materials for cases.
• Write code for complex data analysis and support client meetings.
• Draft memos and expert reports outlining findings and implications.
• Assist in client engagements with teamwork and clear communication.
