Job summary

Nordstrom seeks a Senior Manager, Identity Security Operations in Seattle with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work at least four days per week. You will own the identity security operations end-to-end, including health, reliability, and security posture for platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, SailPoint, and BeyondTrust.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in identity and access management, information security, or IT operations
• 7+ years leading teams or owning a function
• Deep operational ownership of enterprise identity platforms
• Strong command of authentication and authorization fundamentals
• Proven ITIL-aligned operations experience at enterprise scale
• Experience with budget, headcount planning, and vendor relations
• Experience in audit and compliance programs (SOX, PCI-DSS)
• Ability to communicate with engineers and executives clearly
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Own Identity Security Operations strategy, operating model, staffing plan, budget, and multi-year roadmap
• Lead through managers and senior ICs; build bench strength and succession
• Set and uphold operational excellence: SLAs, KPIs, service health, executive reporting
• Own major incident command, problem management, and change governance for identity
• Oversee access lifecycle operations at scale (joiner/mover/leaver, provisioning, MFA)
• Drive automation to reduce toil with self-service and automated capabilities
• Partner with Identity Engineering & Build to ensure observable, documented, and supportable transitions
• Manage vendor, managed-service, and licensing relationships for identity platforms
• Serve as senior escalation point for audit, regulatory, and compliance engagements (PCI-DSS)
• Represent identity operations in clear, decision-ready communication
