Job summary

Cibastrategie in Cary, NC is seeking a Substance Use Prevention Specialist to support prevention programs across elementary, middle, and high schools. Under limited supervision, the role develops, implements, and facilitates prevention and tobacco cessation services for students and staff.

The position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and community agencies, strong presentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Health Education, or related field.
• Five years of experience in substance abuse education, prevention, and intervention; or equivalent.
• Hold or be eligible for NC Professional Educator's License for school social work, counseling, or related area.
• Must hold a valid NC driver's license.
• Equivalent training/experience acceptable per the job description.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating substance abuse prevention services in schools.
• Collaborate with schools and departments to address prevention issues.
• Provide consultation on identification and intervention strategies for students with substance abuse problems.
• Deliver substance abuse prevention education in schools and tobacco cessation services as needed.
• Maintain records and report services rendered; coordinate with community agencies.
