Job summary
Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to serve as a senior technical expert. You will design and build enterprise-grade software, lead SAP integration initiatives across SAP and non-SAP platforms, and guide teams toward scalable integration foundations using SAP Integration Suite (BTP), MuleSoft, and other ETL tools.
The role includes a flexible hybrid work schedule with 3 in-person days in Salisbury, NC and 2 remote days, and requires authorization to work in the United
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern software design, development, and testing.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a user-focused mindset.
- Demonstrated experience leading SAP integration initiatives within large-scale transformations.
- Advanced hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite on BTP and MuleSoft.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Lead analysis, design, and code reviews for major components.
- Develop production-ready code and automated tests.
- Support upgrade planning and modernization; manage technical debt.
- Implement automation and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps maturity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
- Lead SAP and non-SAP integration delivery aligned with transformation roadmap.
