Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus/Scottsdale is seeking a Sales Director to lead a Hybrid Wholesale team focused on annuity products and fee-based brokerage services. You will develop sales strategy, coach managers, manage budgets and staffing, and drive revenue while serving as a principal liaison across channels.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in financial services sales leadership, FINRA licenses, and a track record of exceeding goals, with willingness to travel about 20–30%

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of successful sales leadership experience in financial services.
• College degree and industry accreditation preferred.
• FINRA Series 6/7, 24/26, 63/66 licenses and Life/Health Insurance.
• Advanced designation (CFP, CLU, ChFC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, directs and implements sales strategy, goals, budgets, territory structure and team compensation.
• Partners with sales executives to assess capabilities and improve effectiveness and execution.
• Oversees staffing, hiring processes and resource needs; manages pipelines to meet revenue targets.
• Leads performance management, salary planning, development and disciplinary actions.
