Job summary

Room & Board is seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist / Safety Manager to protect staff health and well-being while embedding safety into daily decisions. Hybrid role located in Golden Valley, MN, with in-office Tue–Thu presence and travel as needed.

You will partner with delivery and distribution teams to reduce risk, lead audits, and strengthen safety culture. Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in safety-related field and 5+ years in safety/compliance, OSHA/DOT knowledge, and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety, health, or risk management.
5+ years of experience in safety, compliance, environmental health, risk management, or related field.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations; apply them in an operational setting.
Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and using data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead safety and compliance across Delivery and Distribution Operations, ensuring OSHA, DOT and regulatory adherence while guiding leaders through evolving safety standards.
Manage risk and improve performance via audits, inspections, risk assessments, data analysis, and compliant recordkeeping.
Strengthen safety culture by partnering with leaders, delivering training, and fostering shared ownership of a safe workplace.
Drive continuous improvement by leading cross-functional safety initiatives and using data to enhance staff experience and business performance.
