Job summary
GFT is seeking a Roadway Lighting / Illumination Engineer to join our Building and Places Team. This role follows a hybrid work model at offices in New York, NY, Mechanicsburg, PA, Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, or East Brunswick, NJ.
The electrical team develops energy-efficient solutions for transportation and facility projects. The candidate will lead lighting analysis, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and prepare specifications and cost estimates for construction, with construction
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant roadway lighting experience.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Experience with lighting analysis software and codes (NEC, NFPA, IBC).
Responsibilities
- Perform site survey of existing conditions.
- Review submittals.
- Respond to RFIs.
- Develop project specifications and cost estimates for construction.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Develop final record drawings.
- Provide support during construction activities.
- Participate in meetings with clients, government agencies, utility companies and project teams.
