Job summary
GFT is seeking a Roadway Lighting / Illumination Engineer to join its Building and Places Team. This role offers a hybrid work model across multiple offices, including Mechanicsburg, NY, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and East Brunswick.
The engineer will analyze and design lighting systems for highway, tunnel, and facility projects, prepare calculations, reports, and design documents, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver energy-efficient, code-compliant solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in roadway lighting or related electrical design.
Responsibilities
- Perform site surveys and review submittals.
- Develop project specifications and cost estimates for construction.
- Coordinate with architectural, civil, bridge, and roadway teams during design.
- Produce final record drawings upon project completion.
- Provide construction support as needed.
- Participate in client and agency meetings.
