Job summary

Join AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta and contribute to the delivery of roadway projects that improve safety, mobility, and connectivity across Georgia. As a Roadway Design Engineer, you will support the development of roadway designs through engineering analysis, modeling, and plan production, while working closely with lead engineers and project managers on a wide range of transportation projects.

This position offers a hybrid work option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering and 2 years of roadway project management experience or equivalent.
• Georgia PE License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Five years of experience designing roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce roadway design calculations, models, plan sheets, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform self-checks and resolve comments to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
• Support Lead Engineers with technical analyses and design development.
• Apply GDOT standards and requirements to assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery.
• Track individual task assignments, schedule, and level of effort.
• Proactively identify and communicate technical issues or risks.
