Job summary

Consor Engineers in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) to lead survey services for transportation and public infrastructure region‑wide. You will oversee field collection through final deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state standards.

The role combines office oversight with field work, offering mentorship to staff and collaboration with engineers, project managers, and clients on complex surveying projects.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) license, or ability to obtain within one year.
• 5+ years of professional land surveying experience including project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of transportation corridor ROW, boundary, and construction survey practices.
• Experience with survey technologies and software such as Trimble, Leica, Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee topographic, ROW, boundary, LiDAR, UAV/drone, and construction staking surveys.
• Prepare, review, and certify legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, survey maps, plats, and other deliverables.
• Coordinate with transportation engineers, project managers, and clients to support planning and design.
• Ensure survey work complies with Arizona statutes and ADOT requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to survey staff and field crews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure data accuracy and documentation.
