Job summary

Oscar Health Insurance is hiring an Associate, Risk / Compliance to join our Compliance team in New York City. This role ensures adherence to industry standards, regulations, and internal policies, reviewing practices, and implementing procedures to maintain full compliance across the business.

You will report to the Manager, Regulatory Audit Compliance and collaborate with multiple departments to train staff, prepare reports for governance, and support audits with state authorities and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ year experience in health plan compliance.
• 2+ years with State DOI rules and CMS ACA requirements.
• 2+ years managing high-volume projects with attention to detail.
• Healthcare finance background.
• CHC, CCEC, or similar certification.
• Fluency with State DOI audit and reporting obligations.
• Experience in a startup/health tech environment.
• Experience in a TPA setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with departments to ensure current compliance levels.
• Provide training to team members on regulatory compliance.
• Ensure procedures are followed to meet compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement compliance improvement plans.
• Delegate tasks to other departments to raise compliance levels.
• Develop reports for the governing body.
• Assist Regulatory Authorities with site visits and audits.
• Prepare for and conduct audits with external authorities.
• Conduct regular audits across required areas.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
