Job summary

Stella-Jones is seeking a Risk Analyst to support enterprise-wide insurance placements, claims oversight, and overall risk management. This individual contributor role requires discretion and collaboration across multiple teams and locations.

The position is hybrid in Lenexa, KS with up to 10% travel to Stella-Jones sites across the US and Canada. The role emphasizes problem solving, curiosity, and growth orientation, with responsibilities spanning data analysis, cost tracking, and broker

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management or related field.
• 1+ years of analyst-level work experience with data interpretation and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to understand complex processes at a detailed level.
• Excellent systems administration skills; programming knowledge a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 10% across the US and Canada.
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels of the company.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes financial and operational data for underwriting and risk controls.
• Collaborates with the Corporate Insurance Manager and Director of Risk Management on RMIS workflow design and administration.
• Owns the analysis and internal reporting of insurance premium costs, claims expenses, and total cost of risk (TCOR).
• Performs claims oversight duties under the Corporate Insurance Manager, Director of Risk Management.
• Supports placement of enterprise-wide insurance policies and management of broker/carrier relationships.
• Performs other related duties within the risk management team.
