Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) has been serving Minnesota educators by providing pension education and retirement planning support. The Retirement Services Representative will deliver benefit information by phone, chat, and email, and perform calculations to assist members and beneficiaries.

Based in Saint Paul, this role is telework eligible with a mandatory six‑month in‑office training period and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of work experience providing customer service related to employee benefits administration, government benefits administration, accounting, payroll, finance, or insurance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Math, Public Administration, or a closely related field can substitute for this experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws and policies to work assignments.
• Ability to train and explain financial concepts to a variety of audiences, primarily in a call center environment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver benefit information and options to Minnesota public schools’ educators and beneficiaries by phone, chat, and/or email.
• Perform routine and complex calculations as part of retirement planning support.
• Coordinate and communicate clearly to diverse audiences; interpret laws and policies for the user base.
