Job summary

James River Association in Scottsville, VA is seeking a part‑time Restoration Coordinator to support field efforts, program coordination, and community engagement within the James River watershed. The position reports to the Restoration Manager and offers a hybrid schedule with some telework from home or the Scottsville office. Ideal start in November with flexible timing.

Qualifications

• Some experience (education or lived) in restoration, agriculture, or forestry.
• Some experience (education or lived) coordinating/leading groups.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and participate in JRA’s random drug testing policy for vehicle operators and attendants.

Responsibilities

• Support field efforts for the James River Buffer Program, James River Stewardship Program, and Live Stake Program.
• Provide coordination support for the James River Buffer Network, including newsletters and visuals.
• Prepare landowner packets and mailings for the James River Stewardship Program.
• Coordinate and support peer to peer events and maintain the Buffer Network webpage.
