Job summary

This role requires Michigan licensure for Pharmacy Technicians, 1+ year of pharmacy experience, and strong communication as well as basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• This includes licensure requirements for Michigan Pharmacy Technicians.
• One or more years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Proficient communication, computer and basic mathematic skills.
• This position requires primary source verification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package non-sterile compounded pharmaceuticals.
• Prepare sterile products, injections and IV chemotherapy.
• Fill automated dispensing cabinets on nursing units.
• Distribute and account for controlled substances usage.
• Deliver medications to nursing units including surgical rooms.
• Stock medications shelves and manage inventory dating.
• Prepare and deliver investigational drugs per research protocols.
• Assist the Pharmacist with auditing controlled substance utilization.
• Restock and dispense activities using pharmacy automation.
• Receive orders and prepare medications for outside clinics.
• Build medication kits for various professions.
• Conduct admission medication histories.
