Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience in research administration.
• Strong knowledge of federal regulations governing academic medical center research.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a research, regulatory, or academic medical center environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages and monitors daily activities of sponsored program specialists, clinical trial specialists, accountants, financial analysts, and supporting staff.
• Advises staff in consulting with Principal Investigators and departmental administrators on fiscal responsibilities and project timelines.
• Ensures specialists and financial staff are knowledgeable on a diverse range of awards and terms for grant administration.
• Oversees financial management of all active accounts for clinical research and review of expenses.
• Acts as a liaison between center/department and university administrative departments for professional development.
