Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO invites applications for an Open Rank Research and Grants Specialist. The role focuses on high-level research financial tasks and post-award grant operations, collaborating with PIs, division staff, and the Office of Grants and Contracts to ensure compliant budgets, subcontracting, and reporting.

Hybrid work is available 2–3 days on campus with in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Creates/monitors/maintains monthly financial reports for PI’s with research funding and leadership.
• Ensures award setup reflects terms; requests rebudgeting as needed.
• Prepares docs for OGC to draft subcontracts; monitors execution, invoicing and compliance.
• Reviews expenditures to ensure adherence to policies and sponsor rules.
• Completes Journal Entries and Payroll Expense transfers on grant accounts.
• Collaborates with Pre-Award to process progress reports (RPPRs).
• Provides post-award services for Clinical Trials.
