University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO seeks an Open Rank Research and Grants Specialist to manage high-level research financial tasks and oversee post-award grant operations. You will collaborate with PIs, Division Administrators, and the Office of Grants and Contracts to ensure compliant billing and reporting.

The role involves preparing reports, ensuring award terms are met, and coordinating with sponsors on progress and subcontract activities. Hybrid schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or related field.
• One year of professional-level experience in sponsored project administration (intermediate level) or two years (senior level).
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Creates/monitors/maintains monthly financial reports for all PI's with research funding and reports for leadership.
• Ensures award setup reflects terms and conditions; requests rebudgeting as needed.
• Prepares documentation for OGC to draft subcontracts; monitors contract execution, invoicing, and compliance.
• Reviews expenditures to ensure compliance with policies, laws, and sponsor rules.
• Completes Journal Entries and Payroll Expense transfers on grant accounts.
• Process progress reports (RPPRs) with PI inputs for sponsors.
• Provide post-award services for Clinical Trials.
