Job summary

UMass Med School is seeking a part-time Research Coordinator II in Worcester, MA, to support multiple complex protocols under the PI. The role emphasizes survey design, data collection, and collaboration with investigators across projects.

The ideal candidate will have a sciences or health-care background, one year of related experience, and proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint and strong communication and organizational skills. Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the sciences, health care, or equivalent experience.
1 year of related experience.
Experience in using computer-based tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills required
Ability to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with investigators in the design, development, and documentation of data forms, questionnaires, and other survey materials
Develop overall research plan for conducting surveys in the community
Coordinate data collection of study participants, complete case report forms, and develop and maintain spreadsheets
Conduct literature searches and write detailed summaries of the findings
Collaborate with project leaders on data presentation, interpretation and writing of scientific reports
May assist with budget/operational aspects of grant and contract proposals
May help recruit, select, supervise and direct data collection employees and researchers
Perform quality control on field data collection systems
