Job summary

The New School's Tishman Environment and Design Center invites applications for the year-long Environmental Justice Fellowship program. Research Associates will work with regional Fellows and staff on climate justice projects, providing research support, data gathering, and written outputs.

Responsibilities include literature reviews, surveys, interviews, and preparing one-pagers and presentations; opportunities for on-campus collaboration and occasional travel may arise.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and/or experience with climate and environmental justice organizations or communities.
• Collegiate-level research and writing on climate and social movements.
• Understanding of spatial design and ability to use geospatial data with GIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews, surveys, and interviews to support fellowship projects.
• Summarize findings and craft materials such as one-pagers and presentations.
• Assist with planning dissemination activities and workshops.
• Support across the fellowship team with research operations and communications.
