Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive finance/accounting experience; nine+ years may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the division's annual operating budget and revenue projections across Charlottesville and Lynchburg.
• Develop monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages for division leadership and departments.
• Build and maintain financial models and dashboards for strategic planning (e.g., pro formas, service line expansion).
• Reconcile non-sponsored research accounts and identify variances with funding solutions.
• Monthly reconciliations of divisional, gift, and startup/retention/residual accounts.
• Analyze clinical billing and revenue trends to assess provider productivity and reimbursement.
• Assist with compensation planning, including salary/raise modeling for outreach or coverage at community sites.
• Oversee procurement, accounts payable/receivable, and purchasing; ensure policy compliance.
• Train staff on worktag usage and support grants/startup package management.
• Prepare materials for division leadership meetings and provide financial analyses for faculty retention or recruitment.
