Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking an Analyst, Sourcing Services to drive strategic sourcing and procurement performance across manufacturing operations. You’ll analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations, partnering with sourcing, supply chain, and operations teams.

The role is hybrid remote, based in Chicago, IL, with a base salary range of $60k–$90k per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, analytics, manufacturing, operations, finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports and present recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and interpret internal, market, customer, supplier, and industry data to support sourcing strategies and procurement decisions.
• Prepare reports summarizing procurement trends, including usage rates, forecasted needs, lead times, supplier performance, and inventory considerations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce risks related to excess or insufficient materials.
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations to business leaders in a clear, practical, and actionable way.
• Measure the results of implemented improvement strategies and track progress against expected outcomes.
• Support supplier evaluation efforts, including proposal and quote analysis based on quality, cost, service, and other business criteria.
• Recommend alternate vendors, materials, or purchasing options to reduce cost, improve efficiency, or support better outcomes.
• Help gather business requirements and identify supplier pre‑qualifiers for potential sourcing opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support the movement of raw materials or in‑process goods to meet production and customer expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive business, supplier, and financial information.
