Job summary

UC San Diego Health’s Revenue Cycle team seeks a Payment Processing Associate for a hybrid schedule (onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote). The role handles the full range of billing duties from claim generation to final payment disposition, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will monitor remittances, resolve edits, research EOBs, and post payments manually with correct allocations and adjustments, collaborating with internal and external partners to keep patient accounts current.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in payment posting and reconciliation.
• One year of experience processing and resolving medical billing claims.
• Extensive knowledge of medical insurance billing and processing.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full range of billing duties from claim generation to final payment disposition.
• Monitor and prioritize remittances of payments and resolve edits.
• Research EOBs and reconcile batches and deposits per standards.
• Post payments manually by allocating amounts and applying contractual adjustments.
