Job summary

Uponor is seeking an MEP Estimator II to develop detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical, piping, and infrastructure systems. The role requires analysis of drawings and models to quantify materials, plus engineering calculations for sizing and layouts.

You will support proposals, review team outputs, and help deliver bid-ready documentation while maintaining GF quality standards. The position is hybrid with periodic onsite work at Apple Valley HQ.

Qualifications

• Requires AA degree or equivalent in construction management, engineering, architecture, drafting, MEP systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with Trimble Autobid Mechanical preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoDesk software focusing on AutoCAD and Revit; Microsoft OS and Office.
• 2+ years of trade design experience and 4+ years of AutoCAD, Revit, or estimation software experience.
• Detail oriented, able to meet deadlines; professional demeanor.
• CPDT certification preferred for Plumbing Design.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates for piping systems.
• Analyze drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and 3D models to quantify materials.
• Perform engineering calculations for pipe sizing and layouts.
• Estimate labor, equipment, and indirect costs based on scope.
• Support proposal development, clarifications, and handoff documentation.
• Review team estimates for accuracy and constructability; identify risks.
