Job summary

ELOS Environmental, LLC is seeking a Great Plains Archaeologist to support cultural resource projects across the United States. The role involves fieldwork, data collection, report writing, and coordinating with senior staff.

Expect to work on NHPA/ARPA/NAGPRA/NEPA compliance and lead field crews in various states. Ideal candidates will hold a graduate degree in Anthropology/Archaeology/History and have substantial CRM experience, including Phase I–III work and strong editing skills.

Qualifications

• Formal education in Anthropology, Archaeology, History or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree plus 24+ months supervised experience acceptable.
• Experience in cultural resource management and compliance with NHPA/ARPA/NAGPRA/NEPA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance with NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, NEPA and state regulations.
• Conduct archival research and background records reviews.
• Lead fieldwork from Phase I to III and monitoring.
• Prepare and edit technical reports for cultural resource projects.
• Provide support to senior staff and lead field crews.
• Manage project budgets and staff assignments.
• Generate technical reports and site forms with minimal supervision.
• Assist management of cultural resources projects and fieldwork.
• Willingness to work out of state for extended periods.
