Job summary

The US Oncology Network's Texas Oncology is seeking an Eligibility Specialist for a full-time hybrid remote position supporting the Central Business Office. The role can be level 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience, with expectations to reside within commutable distance to the Central Business Office.

You will analyze and resolve eligibility variances, coordinate referrals, and support patient financial clearance while upholding compliance and payor communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred for higher levels.
• Progression to levels 1, 2 or Sr based on candidate experience and years in healthcare front desk or benefits.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Researches and obtains accurate insurance coverage information for patients.
• Evaluates benefits and eligibility to assess patient financial responsibility.
• Coordinates referrals and retro-authorizations when applicable.
• Documents conversations with payors and follows up on missing documents.
• Ensures confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and related guidelines.
