Job summary

Legal Search Solutions has partnered with a highly regarded law firm in Tampa to identify an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal. This role focuses on substantive discovery, case development, deposition preparation, and trial support, with dedicated assistants handling administrative tasks.

The position offers a hybrid remote schedule and opportunities to work on sophisticated commercial disputes in both Florida state and federal courts.

Qualifications

• Substantive commercial litigation paralegal experience required.
• Experience with discovery and eDiscovery in sophisticated matters.
• Familiar with Florida state and federal court procedures.
• Ability to independently manage multiple active matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive paralegal support on commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and coordinating document collection and production.
• Take an active role in eDiscovery, including collection, review, organization, production, and management of electronically stored information.
• Coordinate large document reviews and productions with attorneys, clients, vendors, and eDiscovery professionals.
• Review documents for responsiveness, privilege, confidentiality, and other issues.
• Prepare and maintain privilege logs, discovery indexes, chronologies, and other materials.
• Assist with preparation of pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, and other litigation documents.
• Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, including witness files and exhibits.
• Conduct factual research and analyze documents for attorney review.
• Assist with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials preparation.
• Prepare exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, and other litigation support materials.
• Maintain familiarity with Florida state and federal court filing requirements.
